“A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.”
{this moment} is a ritual found on Life inspired by the Wee Man adopted from Soule Mama which was introduced to me by Sarah-Jane, author of Samuel Michael’s Photography. If you find yourself touched by a Moment and would like to participate, post your picture on a Friday and leave your link in the comments section.
Just about everything, I believe Or, should we say, I’m starting out that way. We’ll see just how much I get done. This is my favorite time of the year in the kitchen. I especially love trying new ideas! My family knows that this is ‘my’ time and to stay out of my way until I’m done. I’m on a mission and only have about 5 days to get everything done…whew!
Haha Corinne, it is now after a long day of baking. Nothing like a little Christmas music to get me moving around getting things done I truly love this time of year!
Wow Mary – you make me realise how I have failed to join the grownups even though I’m a mother myself – my own mum still makes the Christmas cake, the mince pies and the Xmas pudding – I do make a mean AMerican mud pie cake for the kids birthdays but perhaps a New Year’s resolution is called for !
How funny…I love it! In all seriousness though, I can’t ever remember ‘not’ baking. I’ve always loved it and can remember being very little standing on a chair to help my mom. Once I was living on my own, then she would visit and help me. Funny now that I think about it How I miss her…we always enjoyed this time of year going ‘baking-crazy’. You never know what we would come up with each year.
This looks very interesting Mary! I wonder what you are going to bake!
Have a great weekend!!!!

A spur of the moment photograph? It certainly doesn’t look that way, Mary. Is your kitchen starting to look a lot like Christmas?

Okay, I’m ready to eat!
Great photo, Mary!
Come on Martha…you are welcome any time
