Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball – Gluten and Dairy Free

Years ago, living on a diet restriction meant that you missed out on a lot of your favorite foods.  It doesn’t seem to be the case in today’s world.   The internet is loaded with people who refused to ‘miss out’, developing and sharing their recipes for others who are on a diet restriction.

Thanks to Mommy I’m Hungry, our family can once again enjoy gluten, dairy, and egg free graham crackers.  She shares a simple recipe for making your own graham crackers and makes it sound so easy. In the past, we had a recipe from a family friend for a Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball that we would spread on the graham crackers.  This weekend we tried it gluten and dairy free with great results.  The taste was fantastic with a wonderfully, creamy texture.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball – Gluten and Dairy Free

  • Yield: 1 Cheese Ball
  • Difficulty: easy


  • 8 oz dairy free cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Vegan butter (do not use spread)
  • 1/4 tsp GF Vanilla
  • 3/4 cup Confectioner’s Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup Dairy free Mini Chocolate Chips


  1. Allow the cream cheese and butter to reach room temperature.  Beat the cream cheese, butter, and GF vanilla until fluffy.  Then add sugars and beat until combined.  Stir in 3/4 cup mini dairy free chocolate chips, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

  2.  The mixture can be shaped into ball after 1 hour.  This Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball – gluten and dairy free is a wonderful addition to any social gathering.  Place it in center of plate and circle your homemade gluten and allergy free graham crackers for an attractive platter.

  3. Note:  I would recommend using the Vegan butter sticks instead of the spread.  Both butters provide a rich, delicate flavor, but the stick allow for the consistency needed to form into a ball.

      Hi there,Just here to let anyone know about gtulen free food in Florida. I went there last year and it was the first time ive been there with celiac disease. All the people we knew told me that america was great with gtulen free food so all i brought in my suitcase was pitta as that i liked more than bread. When we went food shopping there was no bread, not many cereals and mostly only cookies which were nice. Bring as much bread as pos. The shop we went to was called Walmat so i dont know what the other shops are like. Even though the shops werent go the restaurants where very good and the waiter etc were very good. We went to TGI’s which was lovely and the steak house which i even got to ate THE most AMAZING chocolate brownie . I hope any of that helps.Shannon

    just found out i have this , my mother got colon cenacr because of untreated celiacs disease , it is no joke , but i am glad i know i have it , i was depressed and did not have a normal bowel movement for a year , then i started to feel like i would vomit after each time i ate , in two days of not eating gulten i was almost back to normal , thank god i found out , hope this helps
